WEEK-IN #9
A note to the young.
To the Students
When I was a student, I always used to think that once I get a job, I'll be free to do whatever I want. That thought always made me think that working is tension-free. People who work know how wrong the above couple of sentences are. It is like coming out of a training camp, into a war zone. Training camp's scenarios are all predictable. It was designed to be predictable. But, the war zone....... Oh Boy! There are hundreds of people who keep rising, and here you are, running behind the month-end for salary. Focus is chaos in the wild.
My classmates and I still talk about how good our colleges/school days were. And, that's fine for us. We had a hell lot of fun and tried to get enough knowledge to move further (Self-appreciation. We could've done better, but we all cared more about the Flash mob and the DJ guy. That guy didn't play the song I asked for. I'm gonna hit him someday.) There are students who are on either side of the spectrum and this is for them.
Wake up, my young brothers and sisters. Just kidding. The obvious thing you'll have to do is set a goal. That was easy, right? Scrape it off. Setting a goal is a lot harder than you could ever imagine. I'd say, let your mind wander a bit (Boys! Not so much that you think about the next section first bench girl.) Once you've set up a goal of becoming something, you lose a lot of options. What are you gonna lose if you set a goal? The fun. Fun to explore new things. The moment you get relieved of all that stress of a single path, you are open to the entire world.
I was not the smartest in the class. But I've opened up enough to pick the paths I like and try every single one of them. The moment you have a job, there won't be any new paths. That is what you get into, once you are done with your studies. There are students who open up for the crazy stuff and close off the college part. I bet you are missing some of the best stories to share. Also, the first bencher, bunk a class or two if you are not interested to sit in the classroom. A stressful brain doesn't like to let anything in.
This is all controversial, but looking at all the students makes me sad, and this blog is about Life Experiences. So guys! Take it easy. Let everything enter into your mind and follow what you feel more exciting to do. And always remember, Smile.
Very well said rahul, ofcourse experience matters😄.
