I'd like to tell you a story. Just a random incident, which stuck with me. A couple of months ago, I went to a shopping mall in Bangalore. I was just passing the time while my friends were buying clothes for an event. While I was crossing a shop in the mall, a lady in her 40s with a jute bag on her shoulders, walked towards me. I'll be all honest, I thought she came to me to sell some random product that I'm definitely not gonna buy and I am gonna waste my time explaining to her why I can't buy that product. She said that she stays nearby to the mall, and comes to the same spot once in a while to promote her Youtube channel. By all means, I was shocked. I thought marketing a youtube channel is done only through social media for the most part. Yet, here I am looking at a 40+ lady waiting in the mall, in her simplest dressing style, promoting her youtube channel.  Gifts There is this misconception (at least, it was for me) that receiving something you like as a gift will make you Happy. Maybe. But, the thing that makes the Receiver even more happy is knowing the effort done by the Giver. I've realized that the thing we receive as a gift is a token, tokens of the extra step taken by the Giver to go out of the comfort zone to bring in the gift. There was a hell of a lot of times where I was disappointed cause I haven't received the one I wanted. But the happiness quickly redeemed knowing the effort behind it. All the gifts I've received have become tokens of my happiness, every time I see them. So, if you are a Reciever, give it a second thought about the effort behind rather than judging the mere token. If you are a Giver, try to step out of the box if you want to make the other person smile. Cause, smiles are memories that remain even after we die. Passion "Love what you do".
