Spend Wisely

Spending money is hell lot complicated than what I thought of it in my childhood. Every time I pull out some money from my pocket, I think whether to spend them or not, and I think even more after spending them. Planning to spend those bucks was very hard for me. The following two people helped me a lot on where to spend and where to save.

     I met him at Idealabs. I knew him for about 4 days. We both were travelling in his car. As you all know, I just keep talking all the time. I asked him about his job and stuff. Then, I started asking about his car (Ford Ecosport #dreamcar). He was like, "I used to teach tuitions in my college days. I saved all that money and paid downpayment for this car which was around ₹.2 lakh." I was like, "Holy shit! You saved 2 lakhs from the fee you got from tuitions." He replied, "Yes. It probably took years, but I did save. I always had a dream of buying a car with my own money, and now I can proudly say that this car is mine. If you want to own something, you better put all of you in it, to get that by yourself."

     That was nuts! He had a dream of owning a car and he did it all on his own. But still, I had doubts about where to spend the money, cause we can't save all the money we get. That's where the next guy came in.

Baradwaj Arvapally

     I knew him for about a year. He too works as Idealabs. We were at Vijayawada at an event for coordinating, and we went for tourist sites after the event was done. Myself, Baradwaj, Prakash(My friend) and Karthikey (Idealabs member) were roaming together. We went for dinner that night and Karthikey was all too excited to have an amazing dinner. So, we went to a restaurant and Baradwaj said yes for whatever Karthikey had ordered. Obviously, he knew the bill is gonna come huge, but he didn't hesitate to spend some extra cash. I asked him why to spend so much just for food. He replied, "I'm not paying for the food. I'm paying for the experience of us being together so that this meal will be as a memory in our lives."

     Then I understood about when and where to spend, Probably, saving some cash is crucial in everybody's life. But, spending the cash whenever needed is also important to go on with a satisfied life.

The main thing I learnt was
Never hesitate to spend money which creates happiness in people and memories in life

THE Journey

Lets read a story You with two of your friends who stay at Bangalore planned for a trip to Coorg. You have been planning it for a really long time, but schedules weren't supporting. At last, you three found time for an awesome destination. Three of you started at 5'o clock in the morning. On your car, way to Coorg. Weather was a bit windy, but you three were excited. After travelling one third of the distance, it started drizzling. Halfway point, it is raining now. Three of you have no thought of returning. You will complete this trip at any cost. You reach the destination and it's raining heavily. Took a room in a hotel, slept for the night. As you woke up in the morning, it is a thunderstorm out there.
