Holding The Child

Opening the eyes from a fantastical dream just to be pulled into the reality of a boring routine. The moment we wake up from bed feels as if we have fallen into a dark tunnel, the path visible just by a single light source produced by someone above your role. so that you can walk the path of predefined tasks. Feels comfortable yet the darker parts of the cave pull your enthusiasm. Is it needed?

We are born to explore. Whether it's a huge jungle or a handheld device, we have come here to run in all directions. The excitement, the adrenaline rush of looking forward to an unknown used to be high. But somewhere on the path, we have a grown-up to get scared of diverting from a comfortable path.

Getting all your assigned tasks done is always important. It is as if you are getting your minimum requirement completed. Our mind sits relaxed for the final achievement. But, pulling your brain out of the comfortable cushion will be even more exciting. It is as if, having an amazing meal every day and sleeping, is fine. Getting up and walking a bit, pumping extra blood all over your body is much better for your mood.

The uncomfortable exploration is always scary. There could be a deep valley or a high mountain. Still, taking a step out of the straight line gives you a tingle. I am not talking about executing a whole new career, but just an extra step. Every once in a while, step out of the path. You might find a luscious garden of a whole new dream.

Our inner child still wants to try things out of the ordinary, but our grown-up self holds the hand tight. Let it loose a bit. Let the feet run.
