WEEK-IN #6
I’ve been planning to write about this topic for about a year, but an inner confusion held it back. Here comes the understanding of all that confusion.
Addiction
Such an irritating word to hear. As soon as I hear it, I’d just throw the person out of the window. But, there is a lot more to it than just doing the thing we love (Of course, Pubg) all day.
Addiction to something like playing video games, watching TV shows, talking on phone seems not so good. Addiction to something like reading books, listening to lectures (If you are one of those who listen to lectures addictively, take my money) seems fine. But, addiction to anything is not so great.
Well, there is always an argument of getting addicted to reading is good as that adds up to your resume eventually. Then, there will be one guy on the opposite side saying that you could earn a lot more through streaming video games. Bottom line is, you get addicted to something, you are going to loose the balance. You start loosing balance in day-to-day life, trust me, it feels like a rice ball stuck in your throat.
When you start getting addicted to something, you search for all the pros in that work, convincing yourself that it’s for the betterment of your future. That’s deceiving your own soul, and by the time you realise the cons, that addiction is way too deep. So next time, you start searching for those pros, stop what you are doing and go have a burger (OK! Now burger’s addictive).
Maintaining balance should be the main goal of everyday life. Of course, what you do to earn is gonna be what you do most of your day, but try to move off completely from it as soon as you are done. Weekends, add in as many varieties as you’d like to balance up the whole week. Bring in all your thoughts and implement every single one. You might not become a professional in any of those, but you’ll maintain the balance. Unless you start looking for that balance, you’ll keep thinking of divorcing your wife. (Billionaires know what I’m talking about).
Thanks for reading. This week’s blog is kind of a test for me to add a bit of humour into the writing. I did this hoping that you feel a bit more exciting to read the next line. Let me know in the comments of what you like (and also what you didn’t like) in today’s blog.
Trying at your own terms is Good, but learning from a person's experience always help in being best
