WEEK-IN #2
The Reader
This is one of those weeks where I have no content to write but have to put out something interesting and unique. Bare with me.
Reading books had always been my go-to whenever I feel depressed. Not everyone knows how amazing is to read a book rather than watching the story as a movie or a tv show. Below is the list of 9 books/series of books which have taken a forever place in my self of best books. (Not exactly in this order).
1. Recursion - by Blake Crouch
Thriller, Fantasy, Love, Sci-fi
The genres you see above are the ones I always prefer. Getting all of those in a single book is a dream come true. Even if I say a single point from the book, that would be a spoiler.
2. Dark Matter - by Blake Crouch
Thriller, Fantasy, Love, Sci-fi
Same genres, same author, amazing story. If you love these genres, have a look at these books.
3. The Institute - by Stephen King
Thriller, Fantasy, Sci-fi
By the legendary Stephen King. This book takes you through a chilling experience of how you could add a pinch of fantasy into real life.
4. Raavan: Enemy of Aryavarta - by Amish Tripathi
Thriller, Love, Mythology fiction
Ah! You didn't expect love in this. Neither did I when I started this book. This is the third book of RAM CHANDRA SERIES. This is a rewrite of the Mythological story of Ram with maximum logic involved. We all know the story of Ram and Sita. But, Raavan's backstory's a mystery. This book opens up a whole new world of it. Adding to it, the action sequences of Amish's magical writing make this book a roller coaster ride.
5. Shiva trilogy - by Amish Tripathi
Thriller, Love, Mythology fiction
I didn't know the story of Lord Shiva before. This series had described the character in a way like never before. A three-book series, which had taken a new place in my heart. Of course, the anger in some parts of the book is beautifully written down by Amish. This writer just blows my mind every time.
6. A Walk to Remember - by Nicholas Sparks
Love
The first half is a bit slow. Bare with it. There's a switch in the middle. Once you are past that, the story just flies. I've read love genre books where the whole book is interesting. But in this, the switch in the middle of the book is just too good. Also, with a twist on the last page of the book (If you understand it).
7. Steve Jobs - by Walter Isaacson
Biography
The classic story of the mastermind behind Apple. A true masterpiece. Of course, there will be some pages that are a bit slow in a Biography genre book. But, turning the last page had brought up a whole new way in the way I conceive the information around me.
8. Elon Musk - by Ashlee Vance
Biography
The very first book which had brought me into the book reading community. A true masterpiece same as above. The legendary Billionaire. The exciting part for me was when I tweeted about this book. the writer himself had liked the tweet. This might be common for some, but for me, a literal achievement. Maybe, that like had brought out the reader in me.
9. The Expanse - By James S.A. Corey
Thriller, Sci-fi, Fantasy
Sci-fi s are just amazing. I'm still reading this series. The first half of the very first book s introduction of vital characters of the story. You go past that, the story's unstoppable. Now, it feels like I know every single move the protagonist "James Holden" is gonna make.
Don't shoot me if I got the genres wrong. Those are the genres the books fall into as per my perspective. You call me any day and ask me about any of these books, my excitement just explodes. Wanna have a try?
