IMPOSSIBLE is your new goal

Much like any other Engineering student, I used to enjoy my time with friends a lot. Till my 3rd year of Btech, I was kinda "Playing Safe." I would not take any risks in my day to day life. Probably I was good at Mathematics and I used to get a lot of praises from people for my problem-solving skills (in maths). One day, I and my friends thought of attending a Hackathon, where you can convert your Idea of solving a problem into a working prototype. Then, things took a turn in my life. Forget about winning the Hackathon, we weren't even able to build a working prototype. Since then, I've taken multiple challenges, some of which were impossible, and got to know that "Playing Safe" is never going to let you learn new things. In that process, I've come up with two possible ways to achieving the impossible.

1. Target the Highest

Everybody tells us to pick up a task which is no-way achievable and start trying it. Yes, That's the point here. Pick the task which you think f**ks you up, and start marching towards it. Probably, you won't be able to achieve it in the first try, but, you will learn something new everytime you fail. Everybody knows this. The thing I want to say is, everytime you fail, you'll have to face a lot of abuses, like hell. People will start shouting at you with unimaginable phrases and you'll have to bare all of them and try again and again.

2. Make multiple goals

Whenever you wanna achieve an impossible task, break it into parts. First, try doing it. You'll come to a certain extent and you'll break down. That's the point you'll have to concentrate on. Next task, pick one which is slightly tougher than the point which you've reached before. Achieve it. Select the next one, even tougher than the previous one. Do it.

Which one to pick?

If you want to pick first one, you'll have to face a lot of abuses from a hell lot of people. If you are strong enough to face all of them, you can go with it. But, you'll be growing at a much higher pace, at which no other person can even dream of.
If you pick the second one, you will face obstacles (That's for sure), but much lesser than the previous one. And reaching your goal will take much more time than you've planned for.
At first, I've tried the first way. I've realised that I'm not that strong inside. Since then, I'm picking the second one. Multiple goals and slower pace. Sure takes a lot of time, but this even builds up a hell lot of confidence in you. I'm pretty sure I'll start executing things using the first way after I've built enough confidence.
But, if you wanna grow, IMPOSSIBLE should be your new goal.

We don't know what we don't know. Keep exploring
