Those aren't Incidents. Those are Memories
Today, I wanna share my trip to Chennai. I, Prashanth and Prakash (My friends) went to Chennai to attend an Interview, which was on 11th Oct 2018. We boarded on the train at around 5pm on 10th oct, that too, we completed both our lab externals that day itself and we rushed to Secunderabad railway station. Obviously, we three were enthusiastic about going on a trip to Chennai. We were making a hell lot of jokes. All other travellers were freaking out. That was a great journey. As we've reached Chennai on 11th, we took a room, refreshed ourselves and as the day was Thursday, Prashanth needs to go to Sai Baba temple. We've searched for the temple on Maps and we got one nearby, which was around 2 km away. We've walked all the way, thinking that we'll have our breakfast somewhere near the temple. We've reached there, done with our darshan, and there were no tiffin centres nearby. MAAAANN! We kept searching for around an hour and we found one. We order a plate Puri and chitchatted till the order has arrived. As we put the piece of Puri on our mouth, Prashanth was like, "I'm not eating that." As we don't have any habit of eating any Tamil food, adding to that, Curry for that Puri tasted purely made of Tamil recipe. As I and Prakash were really hungry, we ate that Puri. Prashanth bought some chips and ate them. Afternoon, we had to go to the office to attend the Interview. We didn't even dare to touch Tamil food. We went straight to Mcdonalds, ordered burgers and had it. We then attended the interview. The interview went great. Then, we returned back to our room. On the way back, near our room, we had Parata and Dosa, which were really delicious. The shop owner told us that the shop will be open till 12am. We thought of coming again at night and slept in our room. Suddenly I woke up and guess what, Time was 1'o clock. I woke both of them and ran in a hurry to the tiffin centre. It was closed by then. We thought that there will be many more places to eat. But, we came to know that nightlife at Chennai is not that exciting. We only found one restaurant and that too food was expensive. At last, we ordered food on Zomato and ate in our room. The next day, we started our journey to Pondicherry (Of course! We will not be leaving to Hyderabad without visiting Pondicherry). We've reached there and got an auto to our room. The Auto driver was like, "Bike rent take." We asked him about the getting caught for triple riding. He was like, "No police. No rules. Only freedom".(Obviously, he was replying in Tamil. We had to translate it). So, we took a bike for rent for around Rs.250 (Fairly cheap) and went to Paradise beach. Paradise beach was really long and there were only some visitors there. It was like, the whole beach was ours. We had an amazing time at the beach. We stayed there for about 3 hours. Meantime, a crazy thing happened. I walked into the water with my glasses on, and a wave hit me. My glasses fell into the water. DAAAAMMN. I lost my glasses. That Prakash was like, "Search man. Search in the water." It's a vast ocean. Where should I search! They were gone. We three were wet, including our clothes. Then, we had a bath in our room. It was around 7pm that we've decided to go to Rock beach. We three got onto the bike, drove to Rock beach and saw that the road was closed. We stopped looking for a new route. The craziest thing happened. We stopped our vehicle in front of a Traffic police. He might be thinking, "Your already Triple riding. And you stopped in front of me! How dare you guys!", and he started scolding in Tamil. We didn't understand a single word. We were like, "Sir! No Tamil No Tamil", and he started scolding even more. He took our bike keys and asked us to pay fine at the police station. We begged for the keys for about 1 hr. Then he gave us the keys. We sat at the Rock beach for some time, had our dinner and went back to the room. While sleeping, we've decided that we'll go to Rock beach early in the morning to look at the sunrise. Prashanth ad Prakash were like, "YEAH!" I woke up at about 4:45am as sunrise was at 6. I woke both of em and we went to the beach. And then, the SUNRISE. We had a lot of photographs and showed the sunrise to our family through a video call. Then, we sat there, looking at the Sun coming out of water far away. We just kept looking at the view for about half an hour silently. I was thinking, "What did we do these two days? Eating, Roaming. We didn't even have the joy of coming here." Then I realised, we've done a lot in these two days. Those memories were just not that great. Having that weird Puri in the morning, Roaming on the roads of Chennai in the night, Getting caught by the police, Losing my glasses. Those incidents weren't that great. But, those were all worth looking back and smiling for what we've done.
Don't search for good or bad memories in your past, or even, don't think of creating memories by yourself. Memories are created every moment you are living on this Earth. It just depends on how you see them.
